That's why we've come up with our best recipe for a heavenly recipe for flash-fried tuna steak with homemade palate dressing that's quick and easy to make, so you don't have to compromise on taste or time. 

Flash-fried tuna steak

For 4 people. 

Total time: approx. 30 min.

Ingredients for flash-fried tuna steak:

  • 450 g. Fresh tuna steaks
  • 3 tbsp. Sesame seeds
  • 100 ml. teriyaki
  • Freshly ground salt and pepper
  • Olive or rapeseed oil for frying

 

Ingredients for homemade palate dressing for your tuna:

  • 100 g. sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp. soy 
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • 6 tbsp. olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp. chili flakes
  • Water according to desired thickness 

 

Procedure - Flash-fried tuna steak:

  1. Start by placing your tuna steaks in a plastic bag with teriyaki marinade and place the steak in the fridge for a while.
  2. Toss your tuna steaks in sesame seeds.
  3. Heat a frying pan on high heat. Add approx. 2 tablespoons of oil and fry the steak for 45 seconds on each side, depending on the thickness of the steak. We recommend that a 3 cm steak should have 45 seconds on each side. 

 

Method - Homemade palate dressing:

  1. Toast sesame seeds in a pan
  2. Chop the garlic and sauté in the pan with the olive oil
  3. Blend sesame seeds, garlic, honey, soy, chili 
  4. Add water a little at a time as needed
  5. Season with lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste

Tuna steak for any occasion

This tuna recipe is easy, delicious and good for a little bit of everything - whether it's a quiet evening at home, a visit from guests or just an easy lunch. The steak can be eaten immediately after frying, but it can also be stored in the fridge for 2 days and then eaten cold, where you can finely chop the tuna.

If you want your tuna steak well done, you can also give it a few extra minutes in the pan.

For a delicious taste experience, serve your tuna steak with a good glass of wine. We recommend a fresh, light and cool white wine.
